2. General Principles
2.1 Legal Process Required
Linq pO requires law enforcement and governmental agencies to follow applicable law when requesting user information. We will not disclose user account records without:
- Valid legal process (subpoena, court order, warrant, or comparable authority)
- Proper jurisdiction to issue the legal process
- Clear identification of the requesting agency
- Specific identification of the account(s) in question
- Lawful purpose for the request
2.2 Account Information Available
Available with proper legal process:
- Account registration information (name, email, phone number)
- Profile information (username, display name, bio, profile picture)
- Account activity logs (login history, access times, IP addresses)
- Contact information and email addresses provided
- Transaction history (purchases, marketplace activity)
- Device information (device type, operating system)
Protected (Requires Search Warrant):
- Content of private messages or direct chats
- Content of private posts or saved items
- Passwords or authentication credentials
- Precise location history (unless separately subpoenaed)
3. U.S. Law Enforcement Requests
3.1 Types of Legal Process
Search Warrant: Requires probable cause and judicial approval. Allows access to all account information. Takes priority over other requests.
Court Order: May require disclosure of non-content and specific content information. Must comply with applicable law.
Subpoena: May request non-content subscriber information and some content with proper authorization.
Emergency Disclosure Request: Available for imminent death or serious bodily injury situations only.
4. Submission Methods
4.1 Email Submission (Primary Method)

- You will receive a unique tracking number via email
- Status updates can be tracked using your tracking number
4.2 Information Required
All requests must include:
- Requesting Agency: Full name and official title
- Case Information: Case number, investigation type
- Account Details: Username and/or Linq pO user ID
- Requested Information: Specific account data sought
- Justification: Why the information is needed
- Legal Basis: Type of legal process, date issued
- Time Scope: Specific dates for the records
- Contact Information: Email, phone, office address

5. Response Timeline
- Emergency Requests: Within 2 hours (24/7)
- Valid Subpoenas: 5-7 business days
- Court Orders: 3-5 business days
- Search Warrants: Immediately to 48 hours
6. Child Safety
When we become aware of child sexual exploitation material (CSAM) or child abuse, we:
- Immediately review the content
- Report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC)
- Report to law enforcement
- Preserve all relevant evidence
- Comply with 18 U.S.C. ยง 2258 requirements
7. User Notification
We notify users when we disclose their account information to law enforcement, except:
- If a court order prohibits notification
- If notification would interfere with an ongoing investigation
- If notification would endanger someone's safety
- For child exploitation cases
- For terrorism or national security matters
8. Transparency Reporting
Linq pO publishes semi-annual Transparency Reports containing:
- Number of requests by jurisdiction
- Request types (subpoenas, warrants, court orders)
- Data volumes disclosed
- Trends in law enforcement requests
Reports are published on linqpo.com/transparency and contain only aggregated, anonymized data.
